1. About GenCSS
GenCSS is a software product offered in two formats:
- GenCSS Desktop — downloadable desktop software used for generating and managing CSS systems, design tokens, variables and related front-end styling workflows.
- GenCSS for WordPress — a WordPress plugin designed to integrate GenCSS functionality into WordPress websites and page builder environments.
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using GenCSS, you agree to these Terms.
2. Licence and Use
When you purchase GenCSS, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software according to the licence tier purchased.
You may not:
- Resell the software
- Redistribute the software
- Share licence access
- Reverse engineer licence protections
- Use the software unlawfully
Licence limits may apply based on the plan purchased.
3. Software Provided "As Is"
GenCSS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We make no guarantees regarding:
- Uninterrupted availability
- Compatibility with all systems
- Error-free performance
- Suitability for your specific business needs
- Future compatibility with third-party software or platforms
You acknowledge that software may contain bugs, limitations, compatibility issues, or unforeseen problems.
4. WordPress-Specific Risks and Third-Party Platforms
GenCSS for WordPress operates within third-party environments that we do not control.
This includes but is not limited to:
- WordPress core updates
- PHP updates
- Hosting/server environments
- CDN services
- Caching systems
- Themes
- Plugins
- Page builders
- CSS frameworks
- Selector specificity conflicts
- Third-party scripts
- Security vulnerabilities caused by third-party software
- Website configuration issues
- WooCommerce
- Database corruption
- Third-party API integrations
- Hosting security breaches
- Malware infections
Because WordPress environments vary significantly, we do not guarantee compatibility with every website setup.
You are solely responsible for:
- Testing GenCSS on your website
- Maintaining backups
- Testing on staging environments where appropriate
- Verifying compatibility before using on production websites
Use of GenCSS for WordPress is entirely at your own risk.
5. User Responsibility
You are fully responsible for how you use GenCSS.
You agree to:
- Back up your files and websites regularly
- Review generated code before deployment
- Test changes before pushing live
- Maintain your own website security practices
We are not responsible for:
- Broken websites
- Styling conflicts
- Lost files
- Lost databases
- Website downtime
- Security vulnerabilities
- Lost revenue
- Business interruption
- Search ranking loss
- Client disputes
- Hosting issues
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenCSS and its owners shall not be liable for any:
- Direct damages
- Indirect damages
- Incidental damages
- Consequential damages
- Data loss
- Revenue loss
- Business interruption
- Website downtime
- Loss of profits
- Loss of customers
- Reputational damage
arising from use of the software.
Your use of GenCSS is entirely at your own risk.
Our total liability shall never exceed the amount paid for your licence.
7. Updates, Lifetime Access and Product Availability
Some purchases may be marketed as:
- Lifetime access
- Lifetime deal
- Lifetime licence
“Lifetime” refers only to the operational lifespan of the product as determined by GenCSS.
It does not guarantee:
- Permanent future development
- Lifetime company operation
- Compatibility with future technologies
- Compatibility with future versions of WordPress
- Compatibility with future operating systems
- Ongoing feature development
- Ongoing support forever
We reserve the right to:
- Pause development
- Change pricing
- Modify features
- Retire products
- Discontinue products
- End future updates
- Shut down associated services
at any time without future obligation beyond what has already been provided.
Your purchase grants access to the latest available version of the software during the active lifespan of the product.
8. Updates and Data Responsibility
GenCSS updates may introduce new features, modify existing functionality, change outputs, alter workflows, remove older functionality, or change how files, settings, and generated assets are handled.
We do not guarantee backward compatibility between versions, preservation of previous workflows, or compatibility with older project structures, themes, plugins, builders, operating systems, browsers, or third-party technologies.
Software updates may affect:
- Existing configurations
- Generated CSS files
- Saved settings
- Exported files
- Integrations
- Website styling
- Previously created outputs
- Stored project data
You are solely responsible for backing up your:
- Files
- Websites
- Databases
- Exported CSS files
- Generated assets
- Settings
- Project files
- Related business data
before installing updates.
GenCSS shall not be liable for overwritten files, erased settings, corrupted configurations, altered outputs, lost project data, broken styling, compatibility issues, or business interruption resulting from updates, upgrades, migrations, version changes, or discontinued features.
9. Support
Support is provided via:
- Email support
- Documentation
- Product tutorials
No guaranteed response times are provided.
No custom development, troubleshooting of third-party websites, or consulting services are included.

10. Acceptable Use
You may not use GenCSS:
- For unlawful activity
